MULTIMODE LIGHTER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F23Q2/28

Abstract RU 2271499 C2

FIELD: lighters.

SUBSTANCE: the lighter has a body, having a fuel supply source, actuating component for a selective ignition of fuel connected to the body, fixing component made for actuation by the user between the first position and the second position, the user applies the first force for actuation of fuel ignition when the fixing component is set to the first position, and applies the second force to the actuating component when the fixing component is set to the second position, the first force for actuation exceeds the second force. In addition the lighter has a shifting component operatively coupled to the fixing component. The actuating component is a trigger connected to the body for motion, The lighter is made for actuation by means of two different transpositions. The fixing component is coupled to the body for turning and additionally has the front and rear ends, the front end is made for motion from the initial position, when the plunger component is in the first position, to the final position, when the plunger component is in the second position. In addition the actuating component has a wall, when the plunger component is in the first position, the fixing component is engageable with the wall. The plunger component is disengaged from the wall, when the fixing component is in the second position. The plunger component is operatively coupled to the actuating component when the fixing component is in the first position. In addition the lighter has a piston component that is coupled to the body for slipping, and a shifting component located between the piston component and the body supporting component, the plunger component is coupled to the piston component for turning, when the fixing component is in the first position, the piston component is shifted for compression of the shifting component for actuation of the lighter. When the fixing component is in the second position and the lighter is actuated, the shift of the plunger component and the piston component is insufficient for compression of the shifting component. The plunger component is coupled to the piston component for slipping. When the fixing component is set to the first position, for actuation of the actuating component it is necessary to apply a force of approximately 6.5 to 8.5 kg to this component, and when the fixing component is set to the second position, for actuation of the actuating component it is necessary to apply a force of approximately 3 to 5 kg to this component.

EFFECT: prevented use of the lighter by unauthorized persons.
