FIELD: alcohol production.
SUBSTANCE: food-quality ethanol is produced via boiling out of alcohol from beer on beer column heated through boiler while distillery dregs are forced into lower part of tube space of the boiler and vapors are withdrawn from the boiler through expander into beer column still. At that time, excess live steam is fed into annular space of the boiler to concentrate distillery dregs. Concentrated distillery dregs from top part of the boiler tube space are passed into annular space of the beer column still. Vapors formed in boiler from organic acids and other tailings are purified on supplementary plates installed in top part of the still and, from vapor space of upper supplementary plate, purified vapors are withdrawn and fed into contact head of boiling apparatus. In order to filtrate solid phase of distillery dregs, still section of the beer column is additionally equipped with internal cylindrical vessel having saw-toothed rim.
EFFECT: increased content of solids in distillery dregs, utilized secondary vapors formed upon concentration of distillery dregs in the stage water-heat treatment of starch-containing raw material, and improved quality of finished owing to reduced level of organic acids and other tailings in beer distillate.
