METHOD FOR PRODUCING VODKA Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C12G3/08 

FIELD: liqueur and vodka industry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing an aqueous-alcoholic solution from rectified ethyl alcohol "Luks" and drinking water to provides the vodka strength value 40%. Prepared solution is stirred thoroughly, passed through carbon-cleaning battery at the rate solution filtering up to 40 dal/h for fresh carbon and up to 30 dal/h for regenerated carbon and fed into finishing tank. After addition of solution into finishing tank Eleutherococcus senticosus extract, ascorbic acid and sodium hydrocarbonate dissolved preliminary in purified water are added simultaneously. Vodka is stirred, strength value is controlled again, stirred repeatedly, filtered and bottled. Ready vodka comprises the following components per 1000 dal of ready product: Eleutherococcus senticosus extract, 0.2-0.25 l; ascorbic acid, 0.2-0.25 kg; sodium hydrocarbonate, 0.4-0.45 kg, and rectified ethyl alcohol "Luks" and purified drinking water, the balance, to provide the strength value 40%. The successful selection of components as Eleutherococcus senticosus extract comprising wax, resins, pectin substances, fatty and essential oils, trace elements and eleutherosides A, B, C, D and E with good combination with ascorbic acid, sodium hydrocarbonate and aqueous-alcoholic liquid allows preparing vodka with optimal saline composite and high organoleptic indices characterizing by cooling after taste with walnut tint and barely detected hawthorn aroma. Tasting score of vodka is 9.68. Simultaneous addition of components provides simplifying and accelerating process of vodka preparing.
