SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of tribological engineering, mechanical engineering, instrument-making industry and may be used at formation of the multipurpose coatings on the surfaces of the frictional pairs at the galvanic methods of deposition in the magnetic field for provision of the anti-frictional and mechanical (resilient and stress-strain) properties. The method of formation of galvanic coatings provides for a layer-by-layer deposition of the metals on the substrate in the sequence of reduction of the average sizes of their mosaic blocks. At that first conduct the substrate surface texturing and then the layer-by-layer deposition under the action of the magnetic field orienting the crystals in each subsequent layer in the similar direction with the crystals of the previous layer in the regulated planes. At that the slip planes in the crystals of the functional layer are oriented in parallel to the friction surface and selection of the coating materials is exercised from the position of minimization of the value of the temperature coefficient of the linear extension from the substrate up to the outer layers. The technical result of the invention is an increased service life of the coating and expansion of its functionalities.
