FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismology and can be used to determine parameters of an expected earthquake. Unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with measuring equipment for measuring the electrostatic field is used to patrol an earthquake-prone region. During patrolling in continuous mode, register programs of electrostatic field measurements are obtained with reference of measurements in time and coordinates. Plane of the buildup vector of the earthquake is determined and the cosines of the guides of the buildup are calculated. Performing program calculation of length of registrograms of measurements of electrostatic field in plane of buildup. Time constant of the seismic process of the source swinging is calculated. Obtained data are used to predict the location and magnitude of the seismic shock.
EFFECT: reliable determination of parameters of expected earthquake.
