FIELD: microwave engineering; high-power microwave oscillators.
SUBSTANCE: for improving diode assembly of virtual-cathode microwave oscillator that has cathode and anode in the form of at least one electron-transparent wire net coupled with pulse voltage source and disposed in vacuum chamber, each wire of mentioned anode net is provided with at least one independent movable elongation compensator brought outside electron beam passage area.
EFFECT: enhanced radiation power of oscillator and enlarged service period of diode assembly operating in pulse-periodic mode.
