FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has illumination source pressable against biological tissue surface, optical unit, photodetector and electronic measuring unit connected to display unit. The optical unit has metal bar having canal for attaching carriage and laser radiation source, being laser photodiode emitting radiation in 340-360 nm bandwidth, rigidly attached to frontal end face, metal aperture arranged along bar axis and pressable against opposite side of biological tissue surface, optical system comprising long-focal-length lens and short-focal-length lens of coincident focal points for producing plane-parallel light beam. The optical system is set at an angle of 45° to bar axis. Semitransparent mirror divides luminous flux into passing ray running in parallel to bar axis and reference ray running in perpendicular to bar axis. Transparent glass cell and photodetector for recording passed-through radiation are placed across the passing ray. The cell is filled with aqueous glucose solution. Transparent glass cell and photodetector for recording passed-through radiation are placed across the reference ray. The cell is filled with water. The photodetectors are connected to each other via amplifiers having electronic measuring unit.
