FIELD: medicine, experimental biology, ecology, toxicology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with studying pathogenetic mechanisms of toxic actions of heavy metals, lead, in particular, upon renal functional state and refers to the method for predicting lead nephropathy in experimental animals in case of chronic intoxication. In animal erythrocytes and renal tissue it is necessary to detect the concentration of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) simultaneously with the activity of Na+, K+, -ATP-ase of renal tissue and at values of MDA being 5.28±0.26 nM/ml erythrocytic mass and more, and in the cells of cortical and cerebral substance of renal tissue 2.79±0.27 and 3.69±0.33 nM/mg protein and more, correspondingly and activity values of Na+, K+, -ATP-ase of cortical and cerebral substances of renal tissue being 2.12±0.29 and 5.49±0.52 mcM Rn/mg protein/h and less, correspondingly, one should diagnose lead nephropathy. The innovation takes into account disorders of water- and electrolyte-excretory renal function in case of lead intoxication and pathogenetic mechanisms of these disorders.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
