FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cadmium-induced angiopathy is simulated in experimental animals by the subcutaneous introduction of cadmium sulphate daily once a day for 1 month. The dose makes 0.8, 1.0 or 1.5 mg/kg of animal's body weight on a metal basis. A unit of the solution equal to 0.1 ml contains 0.08, 0.1 or 0.15 mg of cadmium.
EFFECT: available, safe, reproducible, low-cost study of the pathogenetic mechanisms of angiopathy development in chronic body poisoning.
