FIELD: powder metallurgy; iron-based sintered alloys.
SUBSTANCE: proposed iron-based sintered alloy may be used for manufacture of inserted seats of internal combustion engines. Powder material hardened during sintering for manufacture of inserted seats of valves is obtained from mixture containing the following components,, mass-%: 75-90 of iron-based powder hardened during sintering, preliminarily alloyed chromium, 2-5; molybdenum, up to 3; nickel, up to 2; tool steel powder and solid lubricant. Copper is introduced in it by impregnation during sintering.
EFFECT: enhanced temperature wear resistance; enhanced machinability.
