FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves dividing lenticular nucleus into two equal portions along the vertical axis passing through the lens center. After being separated, the nucleus is rotated about the vertical axis passing through the lens center in a plane arranged in perpendicular to this vertical axis. Rotation angle is equal to 10-40°. The first radial sector of the lenticular nucleus is removed by means of chopper and ultrasound. The next radial sectors are removed in the like way by rotating the lens in turn by 10-45°. The sectors are removed until the whole lens nucleus is completely withdrawn. The operation is ended by sealing the operation wound.
EFFECT: prevented Zinn ligament filaments and posterior chamber rupture; accelerated operation process.
