FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises bed, actuating mechanisms mounted on the bed, feeder with the mechanism for providing supplying bred by the piece, mechanism of step feed, plate knives, bearing comb with grooves for passing the plate knives, spring-loaded stop, cutting knife, and chute for removing cut bred articles. The device is provided with compensating balancer and additional plate knives for cutting bred into pieces that are mounted on the carriage at an angle to the direction of the feeding of bred for permitting reciprocation in the horizontal plane in the direction perpendicular to the direction of feeding of bred. The knives are kinematically connected with the compensating balancer and are spaced in the vertical plane at a distance equal to the thickness of the bred pieces to be cut, and in the horizontal plane, at a distance no less than the width of the plate knife. The compensating balancer is made of the balancing weight mounted for permitting rocking with the amplitude equal to that of the reciprocation of the additional plate knives and shifted in phase by an angle of 180° with respect to it.
