FIELD: machine engineering, possibly rough and finish abrasive working of machine parts.
SUBSTANCE: built up grinding wheel includes base with grooves and elastic member made with possibility of regulating pressure inside it. Elastic member is placed in grooves of base and it forms petals carrying abrasive large-grain layer for rough working and abrasive fine -grain layer for finish abrasive working. Petals with said abrasive layers are arranged on elastic member according to condition that large-grain layer of petals operates when wheel rotates in one direction and fine-grain layer of petals operates when wheel rotates in opposite direction.
EFFECT: improved design of wheel, enhanced efficiency and quality of grinding due to possibility for regulating petal elasticity degree depending upon grinding condition and performing rough and finish grinding by the same wheel.
