FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical steel billet and a cylindrical steel false bushing with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical billet are preliminarily made, the latter is installed coaxially with the cylindrical steel billet. The steel false bushing is mounted on the disks. After that, the cavity between the steel billet and the false bushing is filled with bronze powder mixed with cerium or zirconium nanoparticles. Then the bases of the steel billet are covered with asbestos gaskets and pressed with discs and installed in a centring device. The workpiece begins to rotate at a speed of 1450-1550 rpm. The outer surface of the workpiece is heated at a temperature of 1210-1250°C for 10-15 sec. Then an isothermal exposure is carried out for 45-60 seconds, the outer surface of the workpiece is cooled with cold water at a speed of 35-45°C/s to a temperature of 855-865°C. Then the cooling rate is reduced by a mixture of cold water and compressed air to 15-20°C/s to a temperature of 510-520°C.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance, durability and reliability.
