FIELD: medicine, pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a biodegradable composition with the antitumor effect and possessing prolonged release of an antitumor agent. The composition comprises at least one biologically active substance and a carrier consisting of biodegradable oligomeric ester with average relative molecular mass Mn = 650-7500, average-weight molecular mass Mw = 800-10000 Da and vitrification point Tg = (-35)-(+45)°C. Ester is synthesized by the polycondensation reaction of polyhydric alcohol comprising at least three OH-groups, with at least one α-hydroxyacid in the molar ratio of polyhydric alcohol to aliphatic α-hydroxyacid = (0.5-99.5):(12:88). The central molecule of biodegradable ester represents polyhydric alcohol to hydroxyl groups of that chains are joined by ester bond constructed of some molecules and at least one aliphatic α-hydroxyacid. Also, this invention relates to a method for preparing the said antitumor composition. The composition can be prepared by heating active substance in the presence of a carrier, and hydrolysis products formed in its degradation catalyze the further release of active agent that provides the necessary releasing kinetics of active agent.
