FIELD: hydrology of rivers, possible use during estimation of water resources.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to method, length of river feeders is determined. Area of feeders basin is measured. All feeders are positioned separately on basis of decrease of length and separately on basis of decrease of basin. Ranks are assigned to each feeder starting from one. Then in rank distributions, groups of feeders are determined based on measured an non-measured values of length of feeders or area of basins of these same feeders. On basis of measured river feeders, their length and basin, rules of distribution are determined separately on basis of decrease of feeder length and separately on basis of decrease of basin of feeders. On basis of found rules of distribution, approximate values of basin area of non-measured feeders are determined.
EFFECT: increased precision of measurements.
