FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to control electric transmission of diesel locomotives with self-contained heat engine, traction generator and dc electric motors. According to proposed method, measured power is compared with power setting and result of comparison is applied to one input of logic unit. Difference of voltage in field windings in parallel circuits of series-wound traction motors is measured. Said difference is differentiated with delay. Result of differentiation is applied to other input of logic unit. Sign of result of differentiation is determined. Result of differentiation is compared with preset value in logic unit. Result of comparison of measured power and power setting or result of differentiation with reverse sign is set at output of logic unit. Signal at output of logic unit is integrated in time and taken as voltage setting of traction generator.
EFFECT: increased traction properties of diesel locomotive under heavy conditions of wheel-rail adhesion.
