FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested inter-vertebral prosthesis consists, essentially, of the first cover connected with the first vertebra, the second cover connected with the second vertebra and prosthesis nucleus that form a hinge with the second cover and being in the saddle of the first cover. The latter is designed as a guiding device along which prosthesis nucleus against the first cover from ventral side could be pulled inside. The first cover on its ventral side has got a sliding guide in or on which there is a support for prosthesis nucleus that can have either inhibiting or loose position. The system of inter-vertebral prostheses consisting of, mainly, the first cover connected with the first vertebra and the second cover connected with the second vertebra and prosthesis' nucleus being maintained in the saddle of the first cover. The nucleus forms a hinge with the second cover. In this system it is necessary to apply inter-vertebral prostheses or those with coinciding external form, the nuclei of which have no mobility against the first cover in anterior-posterior direction.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of application.
