FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cervical intervertebral prosthesis with two closing plates of a support point of a vertebral body to attach to the adjacent vertebral body and with a hinge insert. The latter forms with one closing plate of the support point of the vertebral body a hinge with one concave surface on the hinge insert and a reciprocal convex hinge on the closing plate of the support point of the vertebral body and resting against another closing plate on a sliding surface. The latter is essentially parallel to the closing plate of the support point of the vertebral body and provides relative mobility on this surface surrounded with a wall that limiting this relative mobility. The bent hinge surface covers encloses the hinge surface at the spatial angle at least equal to 90°, and its part, located within this spatial angle, is inside of a groove surrounded with a wall.

EFFECT: invention provides sufficient stability, also in case of weak ligaments.
