FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves shot-blasting treatment of external surface, application thereto of aluminium-bearing gas-thermal coating, and heat treatment which includes the furnace tuyere heating up to 780-800°C, exposure and cooling in the furnace. Together with shot-blasting treatment and application of coating to external surface, there performed is shot-blasting treatment and application of aluminium-bearing gas-thermal coating to tuyere surface from blast channel side, and after heat treatment the coated surface is subject to shot-blasting treatment and gas-thermal coating containing aluminium oxide is applied to it. At that, exposure time at heat treatment is 4-10 hours, and the coating containing aluminium oxide and which is 0.1-0.2 mm thick is applied to the coated surface.
EFFECT: use of invention allows decreasing heat losses through the tuyere surface.
