FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely methods for finish-strengthen working of blanks such as shafts.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying to deforming tool static load normal to surface of worked shaft and cyclic pulse load. The last is applied with use of striker and wave-guide, both are in the form of rods of the same diameters. Deforming elastic tool made of wire and being in the form of tore portion is mounted in free end of wave-guide. Parallel arrangement of central axis of tore whose inner diameter is less than that of worked shaft and of lengthwise axis of worked blank is provided. Static load is applied to portion of tore according to condition of increasing its inner radius for embracing and deforming worked blank. Diameter of said wire and length of arc of tore portion are selected according to condition providing elastic deformation of tore portion at applying to it said static load.

EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method.
