FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely tools and apparatuses for finishing and strengthening blanks in the form of shafts.

SUBSTANCE: deforming tool includes striker, wave-guide and tool mounted according to condition of applying to it static cyclic pulse load normal to worked surface of shaft. Said tool is elastic one, it is mounted in free end of wave-guide and it is made of wire in the form of part of tore for embracing and deforming worked shaft. Part of tore is mounted according to condition of arranging lengthwise axis of worked shaft in parallel relative to central axis of tore. Inner diameter of tore is less than diameter of worked shaft. Diameter of said wire and length of arc of tore part are set according to condition providing elastic deforming of tore part at applying to it static load.
