FIELD: electronic engineering; electronic microwave-output devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed microwave energy input and/or output window is made in the form of dielectric CVD diamond plate installed in hollow metal waveguide whose wall thickness is 0.5-1 mm. Dielectric plate perimeter is greater than outer perimeter of metal waveguide by 3-5 mm; compensating components are made of plastic metal whose thickness equals that of metal waveguide wall, its height H being found from formula where δ is wall thickness of metal waveguide; D is diameter or outer perimeter diagonal of metal waveguide. Dielectric plate is joined with metal waveguide sections by means of compensating components which are tightly joined on one end with metal waveguide sections and on other end, with dielectric plate. Multilayer tight joint between dielectric plate and ends of compensating components is made in the form of metal-plated coating, 1-8 μm thick, and hard solder layer; soldered joints have single-ended solder fillets on their outer surfaces.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and yield , reduced microwave power loss.
