Abstract RU 2315000 C1

FIELD: processes for producing easily volatile higher fluorides of refractory metals of VI group of periodical system used for producing metal in the form of coatings, powders and compact articles by gas-fluoride metallurgy method at reducing respective hexafluorides by means of hydrogen in gas phase or in metallic substrates.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of treating powder of tungsten powder with hydrogen at temperature 500 - 700°C; fluorinating by means of technical fluorine at excess of fluorine consisting 10 - 15 % of stoichiometric quantity at initial temperature 200 - 300°C; absorbing fluorine excess in new doze of tungsten raw material in after-trapping reactor at 100 - 150°C; soaking condensed tungsten in condensing bottles at temperature (-25) - (-30)°C for an hour under evacuation degree 2 - 3 kPa.

EFFECT: simplified manufacturing pattern, improved quality of ready product.
