FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; methods of oxygen converter steelmaking.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes charging of scrap, pouring of cast iron, addition of lime and ferruginous magnesial flux, oxygen lancing, turning-down and tapping of metal. During oxygen lancing, ferruginous dolomite is added additionally. During turning-down procedure, 0.3-0.4 part of slag is drained, after which ferruginous magnesial slag is added in the amount of 0.3-0.45 kg/t of steel. Then, metal is tapped.
EFFECT: low cost of steel; increased good-to-bad yield; enhanced resistance of converter.
