FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: crystallizer contains four working walls with water-cooled canals and with installed tubes with dead-end inside the walls and with holes for water dispersion. The first pair of walls is made with capability of removing and has inclined upper and vertical lower part. The second pair is made with capability of alternate-reciprocal motion. Inclined parts of the first pair walls during the process of the metal pouring are cooled with the aid of heat tubes. The heating area of heating tubes are represented by removable cooling settings with flat canals, based on the walls work surface. The cooling areas are represented by hermetic chambers, made as coaxial displacing of tubes bigger and smaller sizes.
EFFECT: it is provided higher reliability of the crystallizer work and life time increase of the first pair of the crystallizer walls.
