SUBSTANCE: installation for mold cooling, consisting of four, located in pairs of longitudinal operational wall, contains cooled channels with nozzles in mold walls, forming closed circuit with steam chest, steam condenser and tank with cooling medium. Cooled channels are vacuumised, fed into it sprayed excluding air presence cooling medium and it is removed steam, forming on walls of channels at heating and evaporation of cooling medium. For steam removing channels are vacuumised simultaneously with cooling medium oversplitting. Consumption of cooling medium is defined from relation: mB=Q/[r+Cp(ts-t0)], where Q - heat flow from cast metal, run off by cooling medium, r - medium boiling heat (boiling), Cp - medium heat capacity, ts - calculated value of medium saturation temperature in channel, t0 - initial temperature of medium fed into channel. It is provided effectiveness increase of mold thermal performance and metal cooling.
EFFECT: improving of surface and internal structure of blanks.
