FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: activity of the bar cooling is regulated by the activity of heat transfer from the bar to internal surface of the mould by changing the thermal conductivity coefficient of the working substance using the regulation of pressure and its feed time. By regulating during the time the cooling activity of the mould by changing the physical parameter - the thermal conductivity coefficient of the body in the working area of vacuum arc furnace which allow, by keeping the durability of expensive device - the mould, to rise the productivity of the arc furnace to 15-25%.

EFFECT: supervising of the thermostressed condition of construction doesn't admit the exceeding of the acting deformations.
