FIELD: heating, drying.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technique of drying particulate materials and may be used in the microbiological, food, chemical and other industries. A spray drier with counter-swirl flows comprises vertical chamber with a system for supplying initial material and heat carrying medium a hopper for charging dried particulate material. According to the invention, the system for supplying initial material and heat carrying medium has the form of an axial inlet with a swirler, a deflector, a baffle disc and an ejection jet, the latter being used for admission of the primary flow of heat carrying medium and initial material supplied via an acoustic spray nozzle, and the secondary flow of heat-carrying medium enters via the inlet with a swirler, whereto initial material is also supplied via an acoustic spray nozzle, whereby the primary and secondary flows of heat-carrying medium are pre-heated to a required temperature by means of calorifers mounted in the main pipe line, and an axial outlet is used for discharging waste heat-carrying medium. Moreover, initial material may be supplied with the primary flow, the secondary flow and both of them at the same time. Each of the acoustic spray nozzles may comprise acoustic generator having the form of at least one spherical cavity, arranged inside the central rod that is coaxially arranged in the barrel being coaxial towards the housing. Moreover, the spherical cavity is connected via a calibrated orifice with an annular slot that is formed by the barrel and rod faces on the tapered flange side, and the rod is capable to fixedly move along the housing axis by means of a threaded joint fixed with locknuts.
