SUBSTANCE: DNA is extracted from lymphocytes of peripheral venous blood by carbolic-chloroform extraction to forecast syringomyelia development. Genetic typing of polymorphism SpI (1546G>T) of gene α1 of collagen chain of I type (Col1A1) if performed. If allele Col1A1*s is detected, syringomyelia development risk can be forecasted for ethnic Russians.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and objectivity of disease development forecast.
