FIELD: chemistry; nonorganic.
SUBSTANCE: principle refers to the storage of fruits, vegetables and crop products for long periods. Before stacking the product in the storage, the amount of endogenous ethylene in the product is determined and the product is kept in an environment containing 1-ethylcyclopropene, in which the maximum concentration is at least, 1.2- times higher than the concentration of endogenous ethylene in the product before processing.
EFFECT: reduction of preparation expenditures, which ensures prolonged storage of fruits, vegetables and crop products.
