FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for processing fruit, berries, vegetables and herbs yield before storing it or before transporting it in refrigerators. Method comprises emitting 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) into the atmosphere of a storage or refrigerator from a powder preparation containing 1-methylcyclopropene, due to the interaction of the powder preparation with an aqueous solution of an activating reagent, followed by the yield processing with the gaseous 1-MCP and storage or transportation of the processed yield in a regular or controlled gaseous atmosphere at a reduced temperature. Herewith the method is characterized in that, as the activating reagent, aqueous solutions of citric or formic or acetic, or tartaric or oxalic acids or any mixture thereof are used in their weight content in the activating solution from 0.5 to 50 %, and in addition to the 1-MCP powder preparation, in an activating solution is simultaneously injected carbonate or bicarbonate of lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium or magnesium or any mixture thereof and methyl cellulose in a weight content (activating solution):(1-MCP powder preparation):(carbonate or bicarbonate or a mixture thereof):(methyl cellulose) of 5–50:1:0.5–50:0.001–0.5, and the process of gas emission is carried out for 0.5–4.0 hours followed by yield aging in the atmosphere of 1-MCP at a temperature of 0–20 °C for a total of up to 24 hours, counting from the moment of the beginning of 1-MCP gas emission. Invention also relates to a composition. Thus, the beginning of the yield processing coincides with the beginning of gas emission from the 1-MCP powder preparation included in a dry blended composition or in compressed tablets. After processing, the yield is stored or transported in a regular or controlled gaseous atmosphere at a reduced temperature.
EFFECT: advantage of the method is the ability to start the transport immediately after the start of gas emission in the body of the wagon after the doors are closed.
