SUBSTANCE: according to invention, operating procedure of sealed nickel-hydrogen storage battery in autonomous power-supply systems of satellite by means of charging-discharging execution, charging level monitoring, battery voltage and temperature, charge disconnection after achieving of controlled battery charging low-level and additional communicating tank with its restriction by maximum battery temperature, modification of addition tank size, communicated from controlled lowest level of batteries charging, on the basis of achieved to the end charging temperature level. Size of additional communicating tank is restricted in the range (0.08-0.1) rated capacitance of rechargeable battery (RB) and at achieving during modification of additional communicating tank of specified size, properly is increased value of controlled lowest level of RB charging.

EFFECT: increasing of nickel-hydrogen rechargeable batteries operating procedure dependability.
