SUBSTANCE: according to invention, method of operation of tight nickel-hydrogen accumulator battery in autonomous system of Erath satellite power supply by means of performance of charge-discharge cycles, monitoring of active capacity and temperature of accumulators, calculation of active capacity value and control of charge with account of earlier established control values of active capacity and temperature of accumulators, at that, active capacity of accumulators is determined on the basis of the following ratio: Ei=(Pi-Po)·k, where: Ei - active value of accumulators capacity; Pi - active value of hydrogen pressure in accumulators; Po - value of hydrogen ballast pressure in accumulators; k - coefficient of pressure conversion to capacity, besides, in the process of accumulator battery operation, value of ballast hydrogen pressure Po is corrected to the side of increase, at that correction is carried out in case voltage drops at any accumulator, in the process of accumulator battery discharge, to the bottom control value.

EFFECT: increase of functional reliability and simplification of method of operation of nickel-hydrogen accumulator battery.
