SUBSTANCE: device incorporates a controlled cutting tool, a cable gripper, cutting control pickup and an actuator with a push-rod. The said cutting tool consists of a movable knife and a bearing structure. One side of the said bearing structure represents a fixed knife accommodating the cable gripper coupled with the said cutting control pickup. The other side of the said bearing structure accommodates the actuator with the push-rod, the actuator being coupled with the movable knife to move the said knife, along the bearing structure, from initial position to the fixed knife and backward to cut the cable at the preset point arranged in cable section between the twin wind-up drums unit inner jaws at the angular speed of rotation equal to that of the drums. The cutting tool bearing structure allows a controlled motion in the cutting area.

EFFECT: high-quality cable cutting in continuous in its winding up.
