FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: charge is prepared, which contains metal powders and carbon source. It is dried under vacuum or inertial gases atmosphere at temperature of 300-600°C till residual humidity of not more than 0.1 wt %. Then dehydrated charge is inserted into planetary mill and processed for 5-12 hours. After that charge is subjected to oxidation in mixture of oxygen and inertial gas with oxygen content of 1-25% or dehydrated air at the temperature of 100-600°C until metal oxides are produced within the limits from 1 to 30 wt % from total content of metals in charge. Charge is inserted into airtight container, which is made of single metal or alloy of metals selected from the following group: nickel, manganese, iron, cobalt, chrome. Container is installed in high pressure chamber and is exposed to isostatic pressure of 4.2-7.0 GPa at the temperature of 1250-1600°C during isothermal time delay of 15-60 seconds. As carbon source graphite is used, and as metals powder of one or several metals or their alloys are used, selected from the following group: nickel, manganese, iron, cobalt, chrome, with the following proportion of components in charge, wt %: graphite 1-15, metals 85-99.
EFFECT: even distribution of single crystals of fine-grained diamonds.
