FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, it can be used for monitoring and diagnosing the technical condition, assessing the residual life of bearing units, gears, generators, auxiliary drives of the crew part of passenger cars, rotating parts of ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems, as well as other mobile loaded components of passenger cars of railways. A method for diagnosing the technical condition of passenger car components, which are a bearing unit and/or a gear, and/or a rotating part, consists in continuously measuring the values of acoustic emission signals during operation of the passenger car under its operational loads in real time using acoustic emission sensor (1) installed on the body of each passenger car component being diagnosed. The measured values of the signals via communication channels (8) are transmitted to at least one intermediate analytical unit (2) installed in the passenger car, with the help of which the received signals are processed and sent via communication channels (9) to central analytical unit (3) located at the workplace of the passenger car attendant. With the help of central analytical unit (3), the resource of each diagnosed component is calculated and the awareness of technical condition of each diagnosed component of the passenger car is performed.
EFFECT: invention provides diagnostics and control of bearing units and gears of a passenger car during its operation and without the need for decommissioning and putting it on test lines and timely detection of defects in bearing units and gears of a passenger car.
