FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in defining tolerable lengthwise and crosswise clearances in bogie frame axle box guides. In compliance with proposed method, at least, two acoustic emission transducers are mounted on whatever surface of left and right rails, except for rail head surface, along the axis perpendicular to track direction, at the distance between each other equal to mounted axle weaving section period L defined by the formula: where n is roll surface slope; s is half the distance between roll circles, m; r is wheel diameter, m; π equals 3.14. Arc segment of mounted axle wheel flange interacting with rail head inner face is calculated by the following formula: p = π · d · N · Δt, where: P is arc segment in mm, N is mounted axle revolutions per second, Δt is time of burst of continuous acoustic emission signals with maximum amplitude in s, π equals 3.14, D is wheel diameter in mm. Calculated arc segment of contact (friction) of wheel flange with rain head inner face is compared to tolerable standard magnitude.
EFFECT: higher validity and safety.
