FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: drive train comprises coolant flow circuit with coolant, pump, brake-decelerator with rotor and stator. Rotor and stator forms toroidal displacement volume. Working fluid of brake-decelerator is a coolant. Brake-decelerator has inlet for working fluid input from coolant flow circuit and outlet for working fluid extraction to coolant flow circuit. The brake-decelerator has additional drain hole for working fluid passing to coolant flow circuit. Leakage pump is tapped into connection between drain hole and coolant flow circuit. This pump is provided in addition to pump for coolant pumping in coolant flow circuit. Method of control of optimal remaining mass of working fluid in brake-decelerator consists in pumping-out the working fluid mass by leakage pump in non-braking mode from displacement volume of brake-decelerator into coolant flow circuit.
EFFECT: improvement of device performance and possibility to establish optimal remaining mass of working fluid in brake-decelerator displacement volume in non-braking mode.
