FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to electric engineering and concerns post insulators for high-voltage substations and power lines. Post insulator is suggested consisting of carrying body (1) and flanges (2) and (3). At least one of two flanges is made of dielectric on the base of bonding material reinforced with high-tenacity yarns. In the second version of insulator at least one of two flanges is made of dielectric on the base of polymeric bonding material with addition of fine filling material. In the third version of insulator at least one flange is made in the form of metal plug and cylindrical body is made as insulating tube. Metal attachment of dielectric flange to insulator body is formed by screwed joint or pin joint.
EFFECT: elimination of additional energy losses.
