METHOD FOR MAKING RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C12P7/06 

FIELD: chemistry; food.

SUBSTANCE: method is ensured with the distiller. Wash distillate is purified in the fractionating column additionally equipped with the stripper enabling afterpurification of ethyl alcohol from organic acids and other tail impurities by sampling lutter from the column bottom, from fusel oil components and other intermediate impurities by sampling fraction from gas phase of middle plates. Besides it enables higher concentration of ethyl alcohol in epurate sampled from liquid phase of bottom extracted plates. Additionally parent and intermediate impurities are concentrated in three-section vertical tube shell due to vapour condensation and mass exchange with reflux diluted by hydroselected water on nozzle component surface packing the tubes of centre section of the shell. Alcohol is purified from methanol, acetaldehyde and other parent impurities with using methanol concentrating column fed with condenser fractions of distillation, fractionation, stripping columns and airlocks. Reflux columns are actuated at maximal reflux ratio.

EFFECT: improved quality of rectified alcohol and reduced steel intensity, heating steam and cooling water consumption.
