FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, particularly to labour health and occupational pathology, and more specifically to the means of detecting susceptibility to development of visceropathy in workers working in dusty conditions. The proposed method involves determination of presence of mutations of the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene in cells of buccal epithelium tissue of examined workers. If the 677T/677T genotype of the MTHFR gene is detected, the worker is prone to development of occupational diseases of the bronchopulmonary system and the opposite is true if the 677C/677C genotype of the MTHFR gene is detected. Advantages of the invented method lie in high sensitivity of the method.
EFFECT: highly sensitive method.
