SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to medical genetics and preventive medicine, and can be used to assess the risk of developing abdominal obesity in persons with vibration disease caused by exposure to local vibration. DNA is isolated from venous blood. Genotyping of the polymorphic locus Gly482Ser of the PPARGC1A gene is carried out in real time by polymerase chain reaction. In the presence of the Gly/Ser genotype, an increased risk of abdominal obesity is determined in persons with vibration disease caused by exposure to local vibration.
EFFECT: method provides a prognostic criterion for the risk of developing abdominal obesity in persons with vibration disease caused by exposure to local vibration, using genetic markers.
