FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises collection of vegetative organs - leaves and needles of different plants in zones uncontaminated and contaminated with exhaust gases and industrial emissions. The samples are analysed for free proline content followed by evaluation of stability coefficients which are equalled the ratio of amino acid content in the sample from contaminated area to the content of the control area. Thereafter the degree of plant gas-resistance is determined with distinguishing three degrees of gas-resistance: high stable plants with stability coefficient 7.1 and higher; medium stable plants with the coefficient 3.6-7.0 and low stable plants with the coefficient 3.5 and lower.
EFFECT: objective estimation of plant resistance to technogenic pollution of atmosphere.
