FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to prediction of hard alloy wear resistance of applicability group K on the basis of chosen metrics and includes implementation of standard test for wear resistance during the process of cutting at optimal or close cutting speed, implementation of checkout for value change of metrics from physical-mechanical properties of surface structure, formed during the process of receiving carbide, construction of standard correlation dependence "wear resistance - metrics", current statistical check of only metrics value for carbide and prediction of wear resistance with usage of specified correlation dependence. In the capacity of metrics t is used relations value of total length of radial skin crack to perimetre of circle of imprint, received during impression into the surface of hard alloy of diamond indentor at changing of solidity of A scale on device of Rockwell at loading of 60 kg, and correlation dependence is defined on the basis of given formula.
EFFECT: accuracy increasing and labour-intensiveness reduction.
