FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Presented is a method for differentiating three cattle pestiviruses (Pestivirus A, B and H) in a polymerase chain reaction. Disclosed method involves carrying out a polymerase chain reaction using hybridization-fluorescent detection in real time. Each sample is analyzed in two stages. At the first stage primers and probes are used common for all genus Pestivirus. At the second stage positive samples are analyzed in three independent reactions for differentiation of 3 species - Pestivirus A, B and H.

EFFECT: method can be used in veterinary science to detect possible contamination by pestiviruses of embryonic serums used for culturing cell cultures and producing biopreparations, cell cultures, as well as for diagnosis of infectious diseases of farm animals, particularly cattle pestiviruses.
