FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to machine-building technology, in particular to devices for finishing-strengthening processing of screws with low profile height made of steels and alloys by means of surface plastic deformation. Device comprises fixed base, movable body, shaft installed in bearings of body, and deforming element in the form of helical cylindrical spring, which is installed on shaft. Elastic element is installed between body and base. Helical cylindrical spring is made of pipe, walls of which are arranged with the possibility of elastic deformation. There is helical path with profile arranged on shaft, and the profile is similar to profile of internal surface of turns, on which spring turns are rigidly fixed. Tube is arranged with radius of external surface R>1.7H, where H is height of strengthened screw profile.
EFFECT: expansion of technological resources, higher roughness parametre of processed surface, increased hardness, improved efficiency and lower prime cost.
