FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to prediction of cavity volume in systems of compacted layer. Method is realised with the help of correlation or mathematical model produced in computer system. Data is obtained, which is related to properties of material of particles compacted layer system, and cavity radius is calculated in case of increasing and decreasing speed of gas with application of mathematical model, which includes tension/friction forces, or cavity radius is calculated in case of increasing and decreasing speed of gas with application of mathematical equations based on correlation with account of furnace radius, blow down speed, diametre of tuyere opening, layer porosity, gas viscosity, size of particles, shape factor, density of supplied gas, density of hard substance, efficient layer height, wall friction coefficient, free fall acceleration. Besides efficient diametre of particles is identified and taken into account.
EFFECT: improved quality of prediction.
