FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed acoustic reflector (10) is designed to be used as reflecting target for navigation equipment and intended for localisation and re-localisation. It comprises housing (12) selected to envelop solid core (16). The housing transmits incident acoustic waves (18) penetrating into core (16). Acoustic waves are focused inside the core prior to reflection from the opposite wall of housing (20) to produce reflected acoustic wave a portion of acoustic waves falling onto the housing penetrate into its wall and comes along circumference (26) before repeated radiation and combination to produce amplified reflected acoustic wave.

EFFECT: improved performances.
