FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in the field of production and processing of crude ore for ferrous metallurgy, namely of hematite ores, comprising natural and technogenic deposits. Method for hematite ore processing includes three-stage crushing with screening, main magnetic separation of fine particles collected after each stage of screening into single stream producing magnetic and non-magnetic products and auxiliary magnetic separation. After each stage of crushing screening is performed by means of two-sieve screens with fine, medium and large particles obtained. Medium particles being screened after each subsequent stage of screening are collected into a single stream and directed to auxiliary magnetic separation producing magnetic product, intermediate one, which is directed to the third stage crushing, and non-magnetic product. Large particles are directed to subsequent stage of crushing with screening, and after screening of the third stage of crushing are returned to be crushed at the third stage. For crushed hematite ores containing increased number of particles with thinner strata method can include additional dry or wet magnetic separation. Fine particles are separated in grain-size category ranging from +0 to 7 mm, main, auxiliary and additional magnetic separations are performed with magnetic separators, wherein magnetic system provides work of separated product layer height within (0.3-3.0)·1011A2/m2 being done by magnetic settling field forces. In case hematite ores contain minerals with various magnetic susceptibility, main magnetic separation can be performed in two stages.
EFFECT: increased processing efficiency as well as increased magnetic product quality and iron extraction value with decreased power consumption for hematite ore crushing.
